August Prayer Alert

Dear Beauty From Ashes' Prayer Partners, 

Thank you for your continued commitment to intercede for Beauty From Ashes™ Ministries.  Your prayers are critical in the lives of those we serve and they are the foundation of this ministry.  

CLIENTS:  Pray that clients will develop trust with us and receive the revelation that they are loved, valued, and their lives have purpose.  Agree with us that they would see themselves for who they are in Christ and not be defined by their past.  Pray that their faith would increase and that they will commit themselves to the journey of healing and restoration. 

OUTREACHES:  Thank God for the expanded weekly inner city outREACHes and our monthly strip club outREACHes and the favor we have with those to whom we reach out.  Thank God for the spirit of unity that exists within our outREACH team and pray that spirit continues as new members join.

SUPPORT & LIFE SKILLS GROUP:  Thank God for the women attending the group, their freedom and personal growth.  Agree with us for transparency, unity, and harmony.  May those who are to be part of the group commit to being there. 

ASSESSMENT/RESOURCE CENTER:  Praise God for the partnership we have with the United Way House where we can provide our clients comprehensive and integrated medical, mental health, social, and spiritual services from a single location.  We have already outgrown our space and are in need of an additional location for our programs.  Please pray for a larger therapy center/property where we can provide a variety of therapeutic services to the clientele and agencies we partner with. 

STAFF: Thank God that our Program Manager, Christa Hicks, has officially completed the Master of Art's Mental Health Counseling program at Liberty University and our Founder, Julie Shematz, has completed another semester of full time graduate school in the same major at Florida Gulf Coast University.  Pray that Julie will be placed in the 300 hour internship this fall that is God's perfect will for her and that both overcomers remain healthy; physically, spiritually, and mentally.  May they continue working together in unity and harmony and that God would bring forth additional staff and the resources needed for them in His perfect timing. 

VOLUNTEERS and INTERNS:  Thank God for our volunteers and interns!  Without them we would not be able to accomplish 3/4 of what we do.   Agree with us that they be blessed, all their needs are met, and that more mature and committed volunteers join our team. 

 

EVENTS: Thank God for the 28 participants from across the nation and other countries that attended National Sex Industry OutREACH & AfterCARE Training July 26-28th!  Pray for our 2013 trainings and vast amount of events already scheduled until then. Agree with us for discernment in knowing which events we are to accept and those we are not to be aligned with.

FUND RAISING: Pray for our financial partners.  May their giving be returned to them with a 100 fold blessing!  Pray for new partners and creative, effective fund raising strategies.  Thank God with us for sending in the resources from the North, South, East, and West. 

PARTNERSHIPS:  Pray that God would continue to align us with the professional, governmental, private, corporate and faith based partnerships that are of His perfect will and nothing less.  Agree with us that these relationships be protected and that our partners are blessed abundantly. Thank Him for churches that are partnering with BFA and supporting us as missionaries.  May God continue to lay on the hearts of pastors and parishioners a burden to raise awareness and support the work of BFA. 

BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND ADVISORS:  Agree with us for God to provide health, protection, wisdom, encouragement, and divine direction for BFA.  Pray for the selection of a non profit consultant which a donor has already funded.  May God's perfect will prevail and nothing else.  Pray that our advisory board increase and agree with us that directors fulfill their roles and responsibilities to which they committed.  Agree with us for additional advisors and board members that are divinely appointed by God for such a time as this. 

OTHER LIKE MINISTRIES/AGENCIES:  Praise God for the partnerships He has provided for us and continue to pray diligently for new ones to be formed.  Agree with us that the level of professional services in faith based organizations be raised and that ministries will work in unity together reaching, rescuing, and restoring victims of commercialized sexual exploitation and trafficking.
